Bad Girls from Valley High (2005)

Plot: Danielle (Julie Benz) is the leader of a clique of arrogant, mean high school girls; she and her rich friends Tiffany (Nicole Bilderback) and Brooke (Monica Keena) care only about their pampered selves (although Brooke has periodic misgivings). No one really hangs out with them except a dumb jock named Gavin, and the class nerd Jonathan, and poor Danielle is getting nowhere with the popular guy Drew (Jonathon Brandis), even after she and friends accidentally killed his last girlfriend. It’s been a year, and Drew still ignores her - but he doesn’t ignore the new foreign exchange student Katarina (Suzanna Urszuly). Since Katarina can’t take a hint, Danielle begins plotting her downfall. But there’s a slight problem: Danielle and her friends begin experiencing a level of high weirdness in which all three of them rapidly age. This serves to make Danielle more desperate than ever. She’ll sacrifice anything, even Drew, to get her youth and looks back.

What can I do to turn my life around?
So basically, I’m gonna kill myself over the summer if my life isn’t any better by then. Saying "no, don’t do it, you have so much to live for" isn’t gonna help because none of you know me. I’ve been thinking about it pretty much every day for the last two years and I can’t take this shit anymore. I’ll make one last effort to turn things around and if it doesn’t work, I’m done.
Here are some of the many reasons why I decided on this:
-I’ve struggled with acne since about the fifth grade (I’m a college sophomore). I use stuff from acne.org and take pills, which mostly keep it under control, but I have a lot of scars and red marks from past acne.
-I’ve always had an unusually high hairline, but in the past year it started to get even worse. The back and sides of my hair are fine, but the top-front part is getting really thin. I wear a hat pretty much constantly because I’m so self-conscious about it.
-I’ve struggled with shyness since about middle school. I’m finally starting to get over it and talk more but I still have problems with it sometimes.
-Pretty much no experience with girls whatsoever. a lot of that is linked with the shyness and my low self-esteem because of how I look. I’m talking to girls a lot more since I became a little less shy, but still havent made any real accomplishments in that department.
-I’m pretty short at about 5′7”. I’m about the same height as I was in fifth grade after I had my growth spurt. Aren’t people supposed to grow some more between the ages of 11 and 20?
-I’m on a varsity crew team but I’m probably the worst rower on the team. I don’t know why. I do the practices, I do workouts outside of practice sometimes, I drink a lot of water, and I eat pretty healthy. It could be my height and weight (150 or so), but there are two guys lighter than me and one guy my height and they’re all better rowers than I am.
-I have ADD, I’m probably in the pre-stages of alcoholism, and I have two fetishes I’m not really proud of: feet and exhibitionism. (I don’t know if they’re actually full-blown fetishes but they’re at least interests.)
-My grades have pretty much hit the opposite of a plateau since sophomore year of high school (a valley, maybe). I got them up over 4.0 weighted at one point and now I’m down to about a B-/C+ average. I know I could do better but most of the time I just don’t care.
-I have friends in college but not as many close friends as I’d like to have. My closest friends by far are this group of guys I hung out with in high school. Seems like I should have made more close friends by my second year of college. My phone doesn’t ring very often. It’s like a lot of people will seem to enjoy hanging out with me when they run into me somewhere, but not enough to go out of their way to hang out with me.
-I try to be funny, and that’s one of the compliments I get most often, but there have been times where I felt like a one-trick pony. Like, some people only expect me to make jokes and don’t listen when i say something serious for a change.
-I went through rush week at my private college. In a nutshell: I thought I was going to get picked by this one frat because it was the smallest frat on campus and I knew a few high-ranking members. I also met a bunch of other people in the frat and got the impression they liked me. I didn’t get the 90% apporval necessary to get a bid though. I might not have even liked it, but the annoying thing is that I got rejected even when i was trying my hardest.
-Reiterating things I said earlier, I have low confidence, low self-esteem, and I’m pretty self-conscious about a few things.
-Probably the biggest reason I might end up killing myself, and it’s a really stupid reason, is because of some girl. Right now, it’s this girl I like in my floor. I’m friendly to her, I ask her how she is, I gave her this cheap, innocent little dog keychain for valentine’s day that I thought she’d like cuz she has a bunch of dogs (probably a big mistake), and I try to give her compliments sometimes but also mix in some playful teasing. I think she figured out that I like her even though I never said I did and now it’s like she ignores me most of the time. I wish I could go back and not give her that valentine’s day thing cuz that’s probably what messed things up.
There are probably a few more things but I’ll leave it at those. Sorry for boring you all with my worthless pathetic life. Any advice you have would be much appreciated.
So let me get this straight. Your life is not worth living because:
1. you have acne
2. you have a high hairline
3. you’re shy
4. you have no experience with girls
5. you’re short
6. you’re not the best rower on your team
7. you have ADD
8. you don’t get good grades
9. you don’t have as many friends as you think you should

Big deal. I could come up with ten-times that amount of things I wish were different about me. Come on. If you insist wallowing in self-pity, at least come up with some better reasons to feel so down.
I didn’t see anything on your list about you being so poor, malnurished, not having enough money to go to college, being disfigured, having a disease, having lost family members, having experienced some violent abuse, having no home, living in a war zone, etc. etc. etc. You could be way worse off than you are. Why do you talk about not wanting to live your life when you have so many things going for you? What if your list was like the things I just mentioned? People in situations like that aren’t thinking about how useless their lives are, they’re just living their life day to day, trying to get by and trying to survive.
If you feel you have nothing to lose, then instead of wasting your life, try drastically changing it. If you’re planning on just throwing it away, please promise me you will first do this. Use your savings (or rob a bank to pay for it if you have none … just kidding, borrow or something) and go on a trip around the world. Visit some third-world countries. Go to Africa and Southeast Asia. Go to the cities and the country, the ghettos and the wastelands. Just have a look, that’s all I’m asking. If you still feel the same when you come back (if you do) then go ahead and do your thing.

You need one thing to turn your life around… confidence… if you make a goal to achieve confidence in yourself you will feel 100% better! Everyone is different and you name off all of these "bad" things about yourself… your and individual no one is like you so feel good about yourself for god sakes man!

dont kill urself its a cowards way out…….. thats what keeps me alive lots of the time. its lame but i always picture my funeral with my family there and they r all just standing not even caring im gone all saying what a waste such a coward. in my advice stick it out when i moved it took me forever to make a friend i was really close with. now we r pretty close and i think of how good it is that i just carried on with life. just wait everyone has their flaws i have really bad bangs and only like 2 really close friends my sis has horrible acne and there is way more fish in the sea for u dude. my advice to u is just wait one day all the pieces will fall together. it only takes one person to change ur life

There’s way too much out there to see. I don’t have to know you to know that much. What I did in my lowest time, was completely revamp my life. There’s no sense in ending it all, as there’s so much you haven’t done. I ended up joining the army to take care of things financially, and to change my personality. The military has a way of changing you into something a little more solid. Reasons to keep living don’t come to you, you need to find them. I joined to fight for my family and country.
Try new things, find a niche. Don’t get worked up over little things like relationships and physical appearance. If you are worried about your hairline, just go bald (or really short). Find a passion, and go to it.
Mainly, you should seek professional help. You have to realize that most of the people on here aren’t professionals, and can only help so much.
1.800.SUICIDE (784-2433) can point you in the right direction. They can also help you out themselves.

Hey man listen I’ve been there. I think it is safe to say most of us have been there, but I know that means very little to you right now. I could give you all kinds of advice and I know I’ll probably get reamed a new one for this advice. It looks like your at the bottom of your barrel we all have different points that put us there. Some have told you to get self-confidence, but I’m sure we are on the same page on that one. If you could get self confidence then you would. You would have gotten it a long time ago. If it was as easy as go get some we would all have a ton of it. Let me tell you what you need. You need truth. I know this is an idea that is looked down on, but there is a God who wants you just like you are and He wants to make you something greater than you could ever imagine.
I’m not talking about finding religion. I’m talking about a relationship with the one true God. It will not be enough to find any faith they will leave you disillusioned and worse than you started. Man you need Jesus. I know that sounds cliche, but I don’t mean you need to become one of the better than you are "Christians" we all have seen. I mean that the things the Bible teaches and the Jesus that is in the Bible not the one people have made Him out to be. Bro, before you decide to end it do me a favor go buy or get a Bible and read it. Just read it one time all the way through. I mean were talking about your life it is worth reading a book to save right? You need to try to get a New International Version. It is easy to read and a very good version. Read it without input. If you need to get one I’m sure your campus has a Young Life or Inter varsity. Go ask one of those groups and they should be able to get you one. You can also read it online at http://www.biblegateway.com/ . Listen I’m not asking you to become a Christian because some guy on the internet said that is what you need. Read the Bible. See if you believe it. It can change your life. I hope you don’t go through with what you are talking about here.

Since you’re a college sophomore, I would imagine your in your late teens-early 20’s. You have only lived 20% of your life so far, within that 20 percent, 80% of it was being a kid without much to do. You’re in college, so obviously you do not come from a bad family, your grades are not an issue, they can easily be turned around by studying but first you need to build your self confidence. Everyone has acne, and scars from acne, take a closer look at your friends, not to mention you DO have friends, just not as much as the deuche driving the corrvet, but he doesn’t even have friends, those are aquantences. Regardless, girls only stay in your mind for a month of two, you will most definately get over her. Suicide is a perminate solution to a temporary problem. All problems and down times in your life are temporary. Death isn’t. Good luck. Also, don’t forget, you should certainly see a counselor, they have the recourses, and the skill to turn your life around. You would be surprised.

I'm Scared My Placenta May Shut Down?
Ladies, I guess it’s because my pregnancy has gone off without a hitch thus far that I’m finding things to worry about.
What are some of the signs that your placenta is shutting down.
I guess here’s why I’m so concerned (and for those of you who are pregnant, please understand that at 39 weeks, I may connect stupid "symptoms" to "problems"
1) I drinks TONNES of water (because I’m always thirsty) and I don’t ever pee
2) The swelling in my hands and feet is completely gone
3) I don’t even feel pregnant
I am getting lots of movement, which I’m very happy about. But I heard that when your placenta stops working, it can change the hormones it releases (thus no more swelling and not feeling very pregnant).
I guess on the bright side, the fact that I’m freaking out may mean my hormones may be in line, lol.

Your placenta dying off before 41 weeks is EXTREMELY rare. Have you gone to your doctor and asked these questions? I’m betting they will probably have a better answer than people online.

Honey, your placenta never "shuts down". It starts to decrease in function, but generally that is not of any significance until after 41 weeks. You’re freaking out for no reason. Trust in your body, trust in the process of pregnancy.

that is very much not true. as long as she is moving well you have nothing to worry about. the swelling is gone because you have been drinking so much water. I felt find at thirty nine weeks with my first as well.. I felt like I could be pregnant forever and it not bother me.. except for heartburn anyway. relax and enjoy your last few days =)

You would not be feeling movement. If your placenta was not giving your baby oxygen, it would not be long before his movements stopped. You’re golden! If you get worried, drink some orange juice– it always made my baby dance and I knew she was fine.

What do you think is Bill Moseley's best role?
I say Otis Driftwood in the Devil’s Rejects. He was so convincing, and was "lost" in the role. He wasn’t just playing the character, he BECAME the character (along the same lines of Ledger becoming the Joker). He was unrecognizable in the role. Its one thing to a play a part, but its another thing entirely to BE the role and that’s what he did.
I agree. His best role was in The Devil’s Reject’s playing Otis.

My dogs eye scared me!?
I came home from work just a while ago and my dog jumped on my bed and I petted her and she looked at me and DEAR GOD her left eye is swollen, lower lid. I did some research, there isn’t ANY discharge what so ever her eye isn’t red, she isn’t losing fur/eyelashes. It doesn’t seem to hurt her, actually i know it doesn’t because she would scratch at it if it did. I got a hot towel, put it over her eye for a bit. Swelling went down slightly, then went back up. I iced it for a bit, but it went back up. Right now she is tired of me and is running around the back yard and wont come near me, I think it pissed her off.
Anyways. I did find a tick on the swollen area, small, not bloated. Since this area of skin is sensative, could it just be from the bite?
She is a one year old Great Dane.
I don’t have money to take her to the vet, if i did…I wouldn’t be asking for information on here, and if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all, cuz I love my baby girl, and she is a pampered little princess. I am pretty sure, since its not painfull to her, just gastly huge, that it will subside in a day or so.
oh and she has had a tickk below her eyes before and it didnt swell
She may be allergic to the tick saliva. I hope she’s vaccinated for Lyme disease, and also that she has not been infected with ehrlichiosis.

It could possibly be from the Tick. However, if the swelling does not subside, you need to take her to a VET, one that will work out a payment plan with you.

Where can I buy colored contacts/ circle lenses?
Hi,
I’m interested in trying out some colored contacts/ or colored circle lenses for cosmetic purposes! I’ve never used contacts before- will it be difficult to use them? Does it hurt to put it in? Are they uncomfortable?
Also, do I need a prescription to purchase them?
I’m asian and have dark brown/ black eyes…any color recommendations? I was thinking of getting a gray/ light blue color to achieve something similar to the eyes of zhangziyi in the cover of memoirs of a geisha (the novel) like this

lenses are pretty comfortable as long as you dont rub your eyes or anything.
and circle lenses are kinda unsafe because the actual lens is big. The maximum number of hours u should put it on is about6.

There’s several ways you can go about this. Although you don’t need a prescription, you could get an eye exam, they’d allow & help you try on contacts & find a color you’d be happy with. Also, some will provide a free sample since you paid for the eye exam. Then, they could recommend what kind you may like best. Another option is to buy contacts online. I use www.coloredcontacts4cheap.com I’ve been going through them for years & am very happy with them. The first few times of putting lenses in can be a bit difficult, but you can search around for tips on putting them in. It’s really easy once you get used to it. The hardest part is because the eye has a natural reflex not to allow anything in it. If they HURT once they’re in, something’s wrong. Take them out, rinse them with more saline solution, wash your hands & try again. Otherwise they may be inside out. They usually are not uncomfortable…they just may feel a bit "awkward" the first few days as well, till your eyes get used to them being there. Then you may even find yourself forgetting they’re there.
You don’t need a prescription to purchase non-prescription lenses. I would recommend for an asian a light blue. If you use the site I provided, I’d even recommend a 2 tone azalea blue. It’ll look BEAUTIFUL & help look a bit more natural. And don’t listen to anyone, they’re not bad for you. Just like everything else in this world, just take the time to take proper precautions to avoid infections.

Help with 68 Ford Mustang. Alot of help.?
Ok her goes I just got a 68 ford mustang with a 289 2 barrel nothing special it has a c-4 backing it the engine is in need of a complete Teardown and rebuild so is the tranny and a rear end conversion. First the 289 I want to make it a torque motor quarter mile and just to blow away some imports my questions with that is is there any stroker kit available for the 289 i see literally dozens for the 302 but it is my understanding the 302 and 289 components wont switch over. And if they will and i am misinformed is there a cheaper way to go about it. Then there is add ons carb cam intake I would like some fuel mileage not 45 mpg but a 15-20 would be very nice. Second I hear people talking about beefing up the tranny what does that involve its going to have get rebuild anyways so what a shift kit or new insides i am lost when it come to that stuff. Last is there any later model mustang such as a fox body with a solid rearend say 3.68 - 4.00 that would be a relativley easy bolt on affiar. I am going to keep the engine block the same as it is numbers matching. Any help would be greatly appericated I cant be the first to want to do this and I KNOW there is somebody with more infor then me. Any comments suggestions advice or info would be great.
If you are going to have to tear down and rebuild the 289 it would probably be easier and cheaper to just put in a 302 & you’ll get around 20 - 25 mpg as long as you are timed & tuned properly. You can still use the c4 tranny but you might want to consider going with a 4 speed standard transmission instead this will also help withyour mpg rating as far as the rearend you might be able to find say a 411 possi-trac that will work for you. Cool project man! I’ll try and help you out a little.
The 302 and 289 are actually in the same family of engines and most parts are interchangeable. A stroker kit for a 302 will also work for a 289. But if you want a stout performance engine, the more important thing than cubic inches is engine flow. The stock heads and cam in your 289 2-barrel definitely won’t flow enough to make high HP/torque numbers, so they’ll need to be replaced. The heads and cam that you choose depends on various factors like power goals, desired streetability, rpm range, etc. You can get over 400hp out of a pump gas 289. But if you want a high torque engine, than you probably want to go with a 347 stroker kit for it.
The best rear end to use is probably a Ford 9". They’re easy to find, tough, and have lots of aftermarket parts available.
There are lots of speed shops that beef up transmissions to handle more power. A stock C4 might be able to handle a stout 347 but not if you’re getting a solid launch. It’s always good to have peace of mind and beef up a trans that’s backing a high power engine.
Keep in mind that your budget has a lot to do with what you can mod and what you can’t.

Like Jefferson said, you ain’t gonna be smokin no ricers with that little 289 unless it was a K code which it ain’t. You will have to go to a 302 with 351 heads or just puta 351 Windsor with a bigger crank , cam headers, intake and carb. Put in a hi-stall converter and a shift kit and you will do OK, even if you’re running an open rear end. You might also want to consider a rotating assembly. If you are determined to keep that Mustang as a #’s matching car with that little 289, there’s really not much you can do. Even if you managed to sqeeze 400 HP out of it, you will still have no torque. And you gotta have torque, not HP to go fast. No domed piston will ever give you the compression of a flat-top. Domed pistons never produce the comp. ratio they advertise unless you got 50K into the engine and running on the blue bottle. Domed pistons are for ricers.

If it were me I’d yank the engine, trans, and rear end. Keep em so you would have them to put back in if you ever wanted to though. First I’d build the rear end. Either a 9 inch ford or a dana 60. It would have to be a posi and I have those on hand as well as a c-6 and stall converter. Then I have a boss 351 with roller cam and roller rockers, torquer intake, 750 holly, 13.5-1 domed pistons, double roller timing chain, headers,etc…lets have some real fun. Keep all orig parts cause it is a #’s match car.

go get a 347 cubic inch stroker motor from ford find a c6 tranny that will go behind it get ford 9 inch 3;73rear end that will go in stang forget carbs set it up with fuel injection and you should be in the 12s in the quarter mile easily

You can get up to 30 mpg if you use the 5.0 FI with AOD out of a 80’s Mustang or T-bird.
Using your 289/c4, you can get 20mpg with a RV cam, 600cfm Holley and headers with low restriction mufflers.

If you want to build a ricer-killer, then I would suggest sticking the 289 in a crate (especially if it’s the original motor) and either go pick up a 302 (or preferably a 351 Cleveland) that has already been built, or find one in a wrecked vehicle, pull it out, and build it.
Same with the transmission and rear-end.
The up-side of classic mustangs is that they are very easy to swap out the entire drive-train on. If you hunt junk-yards or e-bay/craigslist you could probably find a fairly low-mileage drivetrain for a few bucks, and slap the whole thing in it.
You don’t even have to stick to the traditional setups - with a little bit of modification, you can put nearly any rear-wheel drive setup into the body of the Mustang (it was heresy in the ‘tokyo drift’ movie, but they stuck a nissan drivetrain into a ‘66).
Make sure you do some reinforcing to the body - the only downside of the classic mustang is that they are early attempts at a ‘unibody’ - and don’t have a frame to speak of.
Most important (especially if you beef up the motor) is to put a cross bar between the shock towers. I’ve seen more than one just collapse under the weight of a massive engine. Some people go to the length of welding an entire frame (either beneath, or even inside) to prevent the body from twisting from torque.

Jefferson pretty much hit the nail on the head here already.
I would suggest getting a newer more powerful engine/transmission and rear differential. This will allow you more options for parts, more options for performance and will be a newer, more "reliable" powerplant. That could be a 302 or 352, whatever you wanted to use/could find for the best price. I would suggest looking up Early model Mustang car Forums and see what people are doing there. They will have the most experience/knowledge about swapping something like that.

Pick up a copy of this months (Dec 2009) Mustang Monthly magazine. They have an article on just what you want. A stealth small block that can be built with a 289 or 302 block and produces 418 HP with an original 750CFM factory Autolite carb. They used a 302 roller cam block, which is a better choice, but it can be done with a 289 block.
