Oh, my God, prophecy! This stuff is happening today, isn't it? What to do?
There shall, in that time, be rumours of things going astray, erm, and there shall be a great confusion as to where things really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things wi– with the sort of raffia work base that has an attachment. At this time, a friend shall lose his friend’s hammer and the young shall not know where lieth the things possessed by their fathers that their fathers put there only just the night before, about eight o’clock.

I KNEW Brian was the One!! I knew it!!

I lost my identity - no will to live?
I’m 18, and I feel as though I failed badly in my search for an identity. Up until around this time last year, I had a head on my shoulders, was very social around a small group of friends, and I was on my path to a bright future.

For some strange reason, I just decided one day that my life was not satisfactory, and I began looking for a way to label myself. I became socially withdrawn and depressed. This process, which stretched out over several months, completely stripped me of my self-esteem, any confidence I had, and any idea of who I am.

Fortunately I did not do drugs or anything physically irreversible, but I find that my feelings toward the world are nowhere near to what they used to be. I had real hope a year ago, and I believed in myself, but now I barely have a will to live.

I’m in college now and each day seems like a chore - I don’t enjoy the things that I do nor do I know what I would enjoy. I have no friends here, and the only escape I have is the internet.

I hate my job, but I can’t bring myself to go to another interview to get a new one.

Nothing is worth living for - If my life weren’t ruled by the fact that I need to go to college and work to pay for it, I would most likely just sit in bed until the day I die, because that is all that I feel like doing. I’d give anything for the chance to go back to the beginning of my high school days and fix everything, but since that isn’t possible, I’ll just sit here.
Thank you all for taking the time to respond. :)

Bungfeel, consider yourself reported.

End it now, take a bath with a toaster (be sure to plug it in) before you get the urge to violate a youngster’s bottom.

You actually live a more satisfactory life than a lot of other people…
Some people are ready to end life because they CANT find a job…support their families…They cant AFFORD an education

Some have people in their lives that they WISH they could wash their hands of…people toxic to their lives who they wanna get rid of but can’t

What you have experienced was being an adult…I’m sorry it had to hit you the way it did but most of us got that realization at 18 or 19…when life became school and work…school and work
our friends began their own lives and they dont see you so much…you are expected to take care of yourself and it kinda sucks

I think you should just work really hard until you turn 30 and can start traveling…thats my plan…I say that life sucks now…but 30 should be a good year for me.

I’mm 21 and have been living this sucky adult life for the past 3 years.
I thought it through first… | Nov 18, 2009

your not alone, i feel the exact same way!! i just moved and now i wish i was back in highschool, i just graduated, my job sux and im too lazy to go get another one because i know i probably cant get it, BUT there is still hope, if life wasnt worth living? why would there be sucha thing as a good mood :)? or a good day? or how can every one else be so happy? if life isnt worth living, MAKE IT WORTH LIVING. there is hope :) i know how u feel im in the EXACT same situation. im going to college now and i dnt even know what i want to take. BUT tomorrow i will try to wake up early and make a difference. Ur only finding negative things because ur looking for them. If you try to find good things about life ull find those too, its how it works =o u just need to meet some new people, what goes up must come down, what goes down MUST COME UP =] shitll happen just wait it out!!!

It’s good to reevaluate yourself… but not such a good idea to try to place labels on everything. First, figure out WHY you feel the need to do that. Get to the bottom of it.

Life isn’t all just money and jobs and going through school. Get out and travel; find yourself. Experience life.

The more you do this, the more meaning you find.

Not sure if this helps but i basically went through the same thing (but for around my first two years of high school.) I felt that there was nothing left for me in life and thought about suicide for a while before realizing how stupid that was! My tip to you is that, to get through this, you need to do the opposite of everything your mind tells you to do. Have you ever heard of the ‘yes verdict’ ??
I hadn’t heard of it until i went to see my school counciler and he suggested it, and it’s pretty simple. All you have to do is say yes to every suggestion or thing that comes your way (sorta like the yes man movie idea) ! Of course avoid doing anything really stupid but be prepared to try out some new things.

Not sure if this will help you but it helped me get through a simular situation!

I wish you luck and hope that you find what you’re looking for in life, it has so much to offer!

Do not take your feelings and yourself too seriously. We are all just living and die someday. This circle will happen to you again and again in your life. If you want to change, see a doctor and ask for medical help. But some depressions are endogenous, which comes to you genetically. So you might need to use pills all along your life. I would recommend sports. Yoga classes, long walks and most importantly getting in touch with the sun, going to sunny places, and being in nature with some loved, trusted people or alone. You also might consider getting a cat. Cats are so good at mood tranquilizing. There is end to all these at the end. Make it more quality living as much as you can. Dream more. And just try to keep on keeping on. Like all we do.

A label isn’t an identity. What exactly when you think about your life isn’t living up to what you want it to be? Maybe you just need to let lose and take some time off from everything besides fun and friends. Ask people, your friends what they like about you. Find something to focus on what is your career dream? Find groups in college with your intrest, heck I didn’t get to go to a real college and all my friends from HS never call. As for the job, don’t lose heart keep looking for one you like, is the pain of an interview worse them being stuck in a job you hate for who know how long? Besides i’ll be your friend! Don’t lose heart give yourself a good cry find some one in one of your classes and ask them something about themselve you never know they could become your best friend! I hope this helps and trust me I was in your same position for 5 years. *virtual hug*

Everyone must find their own meaning in life. Some Jewish prisoners that were held in death camps by Germans did not give up hope for a better life, even in the face of extreme adversity. Imagine your life is a blob of clay and you are a great sculpture. Would it be ok to do nothing with the clay and leave it like a blob, or would you put your heart and soul into sculpting the clay into a beautiful masterpiece.

I had a similar experience when I was 19 and tried to talk myself out of it, and now I wish I could take back that decision, because what I really needed was someone to talk to. I would advise you to please, seek help - talk to a therapist or counsellor if you can. Most colleges offer free counseling services to students. Even failing that, there might be the odd TA or even teacher who would care and be willing to listen to you. When I was your age, I didn’t talk to a therapist because I was terrified that no one would take me seriously - and some people won’t, but you deserve to be taken seriously, remember that. It’s not just a matter of "lightening up" or feeling more fortunate than other people who "have it worse." Some people really enjoy school and even work, and it is often people who have problems themselves that tell you to just "buck up." You have a serious problem that deserves compassionate attention, and I strongly suggest you seek it out.

Lif has many ups and downs and you may have made some bad decsions. Rember it is never too late to make it right. As i udnerstnad you are smart and brave enough to take responsibility for what youve done wrong! most people dont admit or even don’t realzie their mistakes or try to blame others for all the bad things happen to them. If you can try to read some slef helping books. I am interested in Ekhart Tollyes books. Remeber you have the most importnat asset, you are young and have time to compensate for what you might have done wrong. Everything is gonna be fine if you just focus in the moment and try to make it right from this moment.Every day is a new day. In retrospect you will realize this.

Angels in the Outfield - DivX Version (Normal Quality), iPod/iPhone Version

Angels in the OutfieldAngels in the Outfield (1994)

IMDB rating: 5.40

Plot: The California Angels are currently the worst team in their division. It seems that the players have a little trouble with their teamwork. Manager George Knox would like nothing better than to dump all of them, which the owner says is impossible. Roger is a boy whose mother died and is currently living in a foster home. His father feels that it would probably be in Roger’s best interest if he becomes a ward of the state. But Roger would rather that he and his father get back together, and when he asks his father if that is possible; his father’s reply is “when the Angels win the pennant”. Roger then prays and asks if they could help the team. When Roger goes to a game, he sees some Angels come down from the sky and they help the players make some astounding catches and hits. When Roger tells Mr. Knox about it, Mr. Knox decides to keep him at every game, and it seems that Mr. Knox’s faith is put to the test cause it seems that the angel are going to help if uses his worst players, but it seems to be working.

What movie should I watch?
I’m trying to decide between:
Ned Kelly
Tuck Everlasting
The Village
Juno
Angels in the Outfield
Martian Child
The Princess Bride

Juno has a good story line and The princess bride is a good movie as well. Either one, or both. I rented two movies that I’m getting ready to watch! One is called "The last house on the left" and the other is "Ghost of Girlfriends past".
It’s getting cold and The sun is not out…so that means time to cuddle up and watch movies :D
Have fun!
Hope you enjoy your movie!
