Kentucky Movies somewhat recent?
I know Coal Miners Daughter,Eliizabethtown are 2 good movies that are Kentucky movies any other good ones? I love Kentucky any ideas?
"The Dollmaker" (1984) set in backwoods of Kentucky in pre-WWII, does very well illustrating how rough life was in these poor rural areas.
"We are Marshall" (2006) The tragedy and rebuilding of the Marshall football program. Huntington, WV is just across the state border. It was big news here too.
"Harlan County War" Dangers of coal mining and labor disputes with coal companies.
I don’t think they come out right and say it, but I believe "The Little Colonel" (1935) is supposed to be in Kentucky. Shirley Temple movie, post civil war time, family infighting, happy ending. Typical of movies made in the ’30s. But enjoyable.
Not sure if it was set in Kentucky, but Steel (1979) was filmed in Lexington. A stunt man filmed one scene falling successfully and later attempted another fall to set a record, but the air bag broke.
"Goldfinger" (1965) also shot some scenes in Lexington, KY. Wow has the scenery changed!
Please, please, please avoid "Next of Kin"! Don’t say you weren’t warned. The culture clash plot could have been good, but the stereotypes went over the top and the story line went from suspending what happens in the real world to outright implausible.

Star Wars Episode iv,v,vi Remake?
Will they be remaking the old StarWars trilogies? IV,V,VI (A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi)? If they are could I please have a link where I can find more info on it…thanks.
Not one single chance in hell. If "old school" fans got even the slightest whiff of Lucas even thinking about doing this he would have thousands of fans dressed as Jedi with their toy lightsabres in hand storming Skywalker Ranch in an attempt to find George and beat some sense into him … lol …
In truth it would be close to impossible to remake the movies and have them be anything more than a minor hit. There are some actors/actresses who simply "own" the characters they play. In the OT you have 3 of them. Yes, Mark Hamil & Carrie Fisher didn’t go on to become the superstar that Harrison Ford did but they owned their parts as Luke & Leia. Fans would not accept remakes without the original cast and that is close to impossible.
May The Force Be With You …

Why would they do that? They are as perfect as they can be. Star Wars is the best thing to happen to the film industry and a remake would just kill it, like the Pink Panther with Steve Martin.
Yeah, it's Alex

This is the first I’ve ever heard of it.
I doubt very much that this would *ever* happen. I can’t think of a single good reason anybody would take such a huge financial risk to remake films which are already pretty darn close to perfect (for what they are) already.
Where did you hear such a thing?

Can you imagine a re-make??! It would probably be another film that has Kate Winslet in it!!
When that happens I’ll slit my wrists!!!
